[FAR Scholarships]: Nishanian Helps More Students Continue Their Education.

FAR’s Educational Programs Committee met with recipients of the Jerair Nishanian Scholarship Program to summarize the results of the 2009-2010 academic year and discuss the students’ progress.

Forty-nine of the program’s 53 beneficiaries are from Gavar State University, the rest attend Yerevan State University of Architecture and Construction. Since the majority of students received excellent grades, most will continue to be supported by the program.

This year eight students earned their bachelor’s degrees and four earned their master’s degrees from Gavar State University with the help of the program.

The 2010–2011 Program

Through the Jerar Nishanian Scholarship Program students at Gavar State University, Yerevan State Engineering University, and Yerevan State University of Architecture and Construction receive tuition coverage and monthly stipends to cover basic living costs, including transportation and school materials.
