[Armenian Life]: Levon Lachikyan’s Artistic Triumph.

Levon Lachikyan’s second art exhibition of the year, one commemorating 30 years of great work and held at Yerevan’s Naregatsi Art Institute, concluded this week. From September 28 until October 4, Levon’s exhibition, “Crossroads” featured 50 sketches on display for the public. The exposition’s core was the series, “Gyumri, My Love,” 15 works that reflect the artist’s birthplace and its distinct architecture, streets and landscapes.

“The buildings for me are not solely beautiful constructions, but castles of soul,” Levon explained.

A specialist of medieval art, and also a cultural commentator, art critic, journalist and press secretary for FAR, Levon is a member of the Artists’ Union of Armenia and the Journalists’ Union of Armenia.

Famous artists, like Hakob Hakobyan, along with writers, musicians, journalists and others attended the exhibit’s opening. Speakers mentioned Levon’s distinct aesthetic essence, his great appreciation for nature, and his talent. He received awards from the Artists’ and Journalists’ Unions of Armenia and from the Tekeyan Cultural Association. 

Levon’s first exhibition of the year opened in Goris in August. His next show will be held in Gyumri on December 7.
