[FAR Scholarships]: Jerair Nishanian Scholars Continue to be Supported.

September 23, 2010

Fifty-three young Armenian scholars are able to continue their education through the Jerair Nishanian Foundation Scholarship program. FAR’s Educational Programs council recently evaluated the academic performance of these students, who are all in their second and fourth year of university.

Also, FAR received about 32 applications from first-year students from Gavar University who wish to have their studies funded. Staff is now making home visits to interview the applicants and their families and further assess their financial needs.

Through the Jerar Nishanian Scholarship Program students at Gavar State University, Yerevan State Engineering University, and Yerevan State University of Architecture and Construction receive tuition coverage and monthly stipends to cover basic living costs, including transportation and school materials.
